This is a vintage early to mid- 1990s maxi skirt from Yohji Yamamoto in black wool with graphic white details. It is cut pretty much in a straight rectangle shape with a paper bag waist that has seven belt loops. It buttons down the front and can be completely opened. There are fifteen milky, pearly white buttons (3/4) with beautiful white stitched, keyhole button holes.Starting at the top, there are eleven buttons, then a 3 inch gap between the other four buttons. There are 15 more inches of skirt after the buttons stop, but the skirt does not fly or gap open, due to its straight nature and the weight of the fabric. There are seven lines of white topstitching that begin in back at the right side of the waist.
They travel diagonally across the back and continue and end on the front at the left corner. The fabric is a flat, canvas type of wool.
There is no lining or pockets. The skirt is shown belted (belt not included). Fabric and care: 100% wool. Labeled as a women's size small, please note the measurements taken flat, one side only.Hip Area: 19 1/2 - 20 inches. After that, it is pretty much 20 1/4 inches straight down.
